First, don't call it "Vine Two". Details are starting to emerge about v2, the forthcoming video app built to replace Vine by its former co-founder Dom..
If I'd written this article, it would have consisted of one word: "Poorly".

YouTube favors long content (10-30 minutes). The days of short YouTube memes is over.
Instagram is for still photos. There are many, many things you can't visually convey without motion.
I see Vine as the social-enabled YTMND. Which means that even though I don't do social-enabled, it's good for those that do to have this classic internet experience.

Viners adapted their content and style when they transitioned to YouTube. Many of them became "vloggers" and many make 10 minute videos (the easy trick to stuffing lots of ads into a YouTube video). The Viner-to-YouTuber evolution is discussed in this article over here that I submitted and everyone hated:

Not only do they have videos, but they have to be short!

Guess I'll accept being called old here since I'll fit in that way. But the real reason is that I have zero interest in social media, and for whatever reason the news that Instagram ventured out of their core product never reached me.

I learned long ago not to click on random YouTube links offered up on discussion boards.
