Georgia Republicans Push for State 'Journalism Ethics Board':

Six Republican state representatives in Georgia have moved to create an "ethics board" for journalists that would require news organizations to provide copies of pictures and audio and video recordings of interviews to subjects who request them or risk civil penalty.

The cost of meeting those requests would be paid by the news organizations.

The proposed legislation, House Bill 734, titled the "Ethics in Journalism Act," was sponsored Tuesday by Rep. Andy Welch, who represents the city of McDonough.

The bill would create a board of media professionals and academics that would produce"a canon of ethics" and "develop a voluntary accreditation process in journalism ethics," which would also allow for the investigation and sanctioning of journalists.

This bill isn't really about local news publishers (although they would be censored too) this is about censoring CNN which is headquartered in Atlanta.

Ah, right, I forget you weren't old enough at the time to notice fuck all, so you have to rely on the bullshit people feed you about way back then when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Let me make it clear for you: The people telling you this shit are either fucking idiots or outright liars. As a nation we have moved so far to the left from when I was a kid that I barely even recognize the place anymore.

Would you like a laundry list of all the ways it has or are you willing to admit you're horribly wrong and drop it preemptively?

Your experiences in The Cousinfuckers' Confederate Republic of Rednecikstan are not reflective of the rest of the country. Get over yourself. Besides which, left socially and left economically aren't even close to the same thing. I wish they were, but they ain't.

See, that response tells me you're trying your ass off to win this argument but you've got nothing but ad-homs to do so with. Because you're wrong and you know it.

No, I'm not. If anything, your supposed wide range of travels speaks even more ill of you than if you'd remained in New Incestville your entire life, because *you haven't learned anything from it.* Oh, sure, it sounds like you took in the sights and possibly learned (the hard way, I bet...) not to mouth off to certain people, but what did you really learn about all these groups you so casually dismiss as *people?* From the sound of it, little to nothing.

Full on ad-hom now? Usually you throw in at least a tiny bit of something slightly relevant so you can't be nailed to the wall for making no argument. Now you're just being tiresome. Grow up, little girl.

Oh, I'm sorry, you had an argument in there somewhere...? Coulda fooled me.

Funny, you paid it a cursory notice a reply or two ago. You must have realized you didn't have a leg to stand on when you went full on ad-hom. You really might want to try a different approach. You're doing your team a significant disservice by not just perpetuating the angry lesbian stereotype but taking it to caricature levels.

No, you don't. You're, once again, ignoring the rest of the world because it doesn't suit your narrative, and if all you have is "hurr hurr wai so angry dyke hurr what a stereotype!" you've well and truly lost. One of us here is a caricature, and it's not me. Shove your tone trolling up your ass so hard you choke on it, assuming you've got room for it up there next to your gigantic swollen head.

Here's some video evidence: Nixon pushing what was essentially Obamacare way back in the 70s. This is a Republican doing this; these days, not even a Democrat would touch this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_A0O7IVsVhY [youtube.com] Yeah, he pays the usual bootlicking lip-service to how "we don't do national healthcare" here, but, again, this was Obamacare. Proposed by a Republican. In the 70s. Ford didn't last long enough to get anything done, so forget about him.

Even further back, here's Dwight Eisenhower, the last Republican we have ever had with even a shred of honor and personal human decency. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhQ6DYyJihI [youtube.com] This is, again, a Republican talking about the idea. No Democrat would touch it. If Ike were alive today he'd have a hard time running as a Democrat, let alone a Republican.

Looks like a shift rightward, buddy boy. What is it going to take to make you face reality? At this point, it seems to me like nothing is going to do it until you yourself suffer in ways that make you see why this is necessary. All I can do is hope that happens sooner rather than later.

Given a chance, I would take the Canadian or (what remains of...) the UK or Australian systems over the US system in a heartbeat.
