USA Today reports Trump has Officially Begun to Withdraw the US From the World Health Organization as Pandemic Spikes:

The Trump administration has officially begun to withdraw the United States from the World Health Organization, even as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to grip the globe and infections spike in many states across the U.S.

Congress received formal notification of the decision on Tuesday, more than a month after President Donald Trump announced his intention to end the U.S. relationship with the WHO and blasted the multilateral institution as a tool of China. The White House said the withdrawal would take effect on July 6, 2021.

[...] The formal withdrawal comes as the United States nears 3 million reported coronavirus cases and more than 130,000 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University data. Globally, there have been 11.6 million cases and almost 540,000 deaths.

So is WHO a natural monopoly or not? If it's not practical to have competing WHO-like agencies, how do you mitigate the capture of WHO by *any* large power, not just China? I don't pretend to have an answer. I'm just pointing out that it's part of a general problem. It's regulatory capture on a global scale.

If you watch Event 201, the October 2019 pandemic planning exercise, participants were big on "controlling the narrative". Curious choice of words that, especially considering the course of this pandemic where the WHO have consistently taken positions that are diametrically opposed to scientific reality and common sense. Then there's the censorship, published and widely cited scientists like thunderf00t [youtube.com] and interviews with former head of the WHO Cancer Program Karol Sikora [unherd.com] removed from YouTube for disagreeing with the "narrative" of provable liars at the WHO.

There's a problem with any centralized authority vulnerable to political coercion or subversion. We should demand the right to challenge them, hold them accountable or to remove our funding and support. I'm fine with the latter here.

Let me guess, you recently re-watched "Men In Black"? Better a international organization doing spin management than a Cosmic Ping-pong Pizza conspiracy theorist formenting panic and violence and pearl-clutching.

My dear AC, doctors may be able to help with your big brained [oup.com] opinions.

        • Did Event 201 attendees talk about controlling the narrative? [youtube.com] (8 minute mark)
        • Are YouTube removing scientific opinion and experiments that contradict the WHO "narrative"?
        • Are you a twat?

If you answered no to any of the above, seek medical help immediately.

Have enough countries funding it and involved in managing it that no single country has the ability to control it. Which is exactly what has happened.

And the reason the US is trying to withdraw from it has everything to do with the fact that the WHO has so far refused to just do the bidding of the US even though the US is certainly one of its major funding sources as well as a source of significant numbers of management and personnel, which from my point of view suggests that the plan worked.
