I understand that Mission Control woke up one particular Apollo crew with Ride of the Valkyrie.
The other two astronauts simply woke up but Harrison Schmit's heart started racing.
See, it's played loud enough to wake the dead every morning during finals week at Caltech. I was told the tradition got started as a way to ensure that the frosh made it to their exams on time but by the time I attended in 1982-1984, all the exams were take-home.
