You can now order zombies using your ride-sharing app. In New York and San Francisco, Lyft has arranged for actors dressed as zombies to appear at your desired location this Halloween. Meanwhile, CareerBuilder has analyzed data about America's 53 largest cities to determine which one is most likely to survive a zombie attack, weighting 8 factors including the percentage of engineers in the population and the number of small arms manufacturers.

Exploiting the popular fascination with zombies has apparently become a new Halloween tradition for everyone from job-finding sites to self-published authors. One blog even notes the number of zombie-themed ebooks in Amazon's Kindle Store has doubled every year since 2011, peaking this year at 15,659 different titles.

Though it makes sense that the New York city metro area would be the worst, I don't consider it an insightful article. Population density is not weighted high enough(15%). Ammo manufacturing is weighted to high(15% and who is going to make the ammo). I suppose they just picked some variables and kept the weights pretty even. I only saw 15% and 20% applied to everything.

Possibility of cure got 20%. Why? Is that because if a city found a cure that they wouldn't share with the world? Or because all communications would be wiped out? In reality (zombie reality) ammo and isolation are the cure.

Engineers and construction workers each got 15%. Is that because we need official drawings and someone to cut the plywood to board up our homes?? Hell no! Improvisation is king. Do it yourself or die.

I should just stop now. They were making a cute little ranking around a Halloween theme and I am applying too much real thought to it. What you do before the outbreak is way more important than after. Get your supplies together and have a place to go in a no name rural town.

Its for the minecraft style mob grinder. May as well get some drops off all those zombies. At least you won't run out of leather any time soon. Surprised no body ever tries this in a hollywood movie. Never took minecrafters very long to invent a use for all those spawned zombies.
