As if they hadn't discredited the movement enough already, feminists are now reportedly attempting to collect scalps from notable men in tech. And they're not worried about little things like the sexual assault they report actually happening.

Feminists in tech have been staging attempted "honey traps" to frame prominent male software developers for sexual assault, according to explosive claims on the blog of Eric S. Raymond, a pioneer of the open source movement. In allegations that will rock the world of software development, prominent targets included Linus Torvalds, creator of the Linux kernel.

Raymond quoted excerpts from an online chat with a trusted source, who told him that the Ada Inititiative, a recently-discontinued feminist advocacy group in tech, was trying to "collect scalps" by concocting charges of attempted sexual assault against male software developers.

The source told Raymond that the "MO" of the feminists was to "get alone with the target, and then immediately report "attempted sexual assault." The source said he had stopped mentoring female developers over fears that they might fabricate such charges.

In before someone disbelieves the message because they dislike the messenger.

I took one look at the Ada initiative site and saw exactly what I expected - short and colored-haired bull-dykes with sagging titties and daddy issues, perpetually angry and outraged, probably Jewish, and with shrill hysterical voices.

But now something insightful - Just like any religion, you have your radicals whose interpretation of their gospel is more radical and violent than the more moderate and productive denominations. The worst thing that could happen to a woman in the gaming and computing world is being ridiculed, maybe have her butt-slapped playfully at a convention (a Hans Reiser-type situation is as statistically insignificant as a Lorena Bobbit situation). But even having your butt slapped by a passer-by is nothing compared to being on the receiving end of an honest intent of sexually assault with nobody else around.

The extreme version of feminism of which these hysterical orcs subscribe prescribes using weapons of mass-destruction against men who may have said curt things in the past. It's using a nuclear bomb in a game of dirty dozens. These women are the oppressors, and fortunately they're too goddamn loud and crazy to get away with their secret plot.

If one believes they have been sexually assaulted, they should go to the cops. If they are lying, filing a false police report is a crime. I would immediately consider someone who had publicly claimed to be sexually assaulted but not taking police action to have motivations such as money or character assassination rather than justice.

Is there an overwhelmingly macho male bias in the gaming world? Perhaps. Just like there is in the world of line cooks and combat soldiers. But why should any of you rancid cunts care? You already have plenty of beta males swarming around you smiling and nodding with their tongues wagging, you don't need to ruin others with your envy.

I'll repeat something to you someone once told me... "Wow... that's a lot of butthurt in a single post"
You should see a therapist. You have issues... Excessive ethanol-consumption is likely one of them. And before you shoot back: no, a 'functioning drunk' does not exist. Sorry to pop that balloon for ya mate!

The thing about stereotypes is that there is within a nugget of truth, otherwise the stereotype could not perpetuate.

I couldn't find that on the site. Was that on the about page or something?

Ada Initiative founder Valerie Aurora gave the keynote at the Ohio Linuxfest this year. I did not attend that particular talk. My reason is the same one that causes me to not attend church. I easily tire of being lectured on how I am a sinner simply by virtue of me breathing air.

Would you want to have your butt slapped at a convention? How about your partner's? sister's? brother's? Why should anyone expect that ANYONE can be mistreated and should then be OK with it? (For the record: Male, long-married, and some years back my wife's butt was slapped at a business app's user-group meeting, by someone who - in the course of apologizing (badly) - assumed she was a secretary rather than an IT director. She did not take any of this as a compliment.)
