As if they hadn't discredited the movement enough already, feminists are now reportedly attempting to collect scalps from notable men in tech. And they're not worried about little things like the sexual assault they report actually happening.
Feminists in tech have been staging attempted "honey traps" to frame prominent male software developers for sexual assault, according to explosive claims on the blog of Eric S. Raymond, a pioneer of the open source movement. In allegations that will rock the world of software development, prominent targets included Linus Torvalds, creator of the Linux kernel.
Raymond quoted excerpts from an online chat with a trusted source, who told him that the Ada Inititiative, a recently-discontinued feminist advocacy group in tech, was trying to "collect scalps" by concocting charges of attempted sexual assault against male software developers.
The source told Raymond that the "MO" of the feminists was to "get alone with the target, and then immediately report "attempted sexual assault." The source said he had stopped mentoring female developers over fears that they might fabricate such charges.

Sorry, but if you can't provide any corroborating evidence or other witnesses then there is no way we can believe these extraordinary claims.
He says that Linus can't be left along with women. If that were true then Linus could confirm it, and would have little reason not to.

Certainly the witness's credibility would be up for discussion, that's the entire point of a witness being public - so we can evaluate the likelihood of their claims based on their credibility.

Hmm... Interesting standard of 'journalism' we are promoting now isn't it? Seem to remember a famous anonymous source that ended up bringing down a POTUS. So straight up, do you think Woodward and Bernstein were wrong to keep Deep Thoat's identity secret and was the country wrong in giving their reporting credibility? In short, is it your position that Richard Nixon should have remained President?
No. When dealing with anonymous sources we have to rely on the credibility of the reporter. Woodward, Bernstein and their editors at the Wapo had to decide their source was credible enough to put their own reputations on the line when they kept Deep Throat's identity a secret. Same rule here, do you think ESR has enough credibility or not. I do, he has served in the trenches for decades with honor.

Little reason not to? I can think of a big reason he would be reluctant to do so: it's a big headache to have to deal with that kind of flak personally. The SJWs would be out in force against him then, which is exactly what they want. For people like him the only winning move is not to play.
