The animated graphic from NPR shows how the economy has changed over time. Interesting how jobs have shifted from production to services and distribution. "Peak Secretary" seems to have occurred in the mid 80's.

    Ports (imports). Log trucks. Produce. Amazon. I can believe that the trucking industry is a major employer. Take farmer -- some family owns an orchard which produces apples but it takes 100 trucks to move them to where they are going. That farmer would have some seasonal pickers, and a few year round employees. Are the seasonal pickers "farmers" in these stats? I doubt it.
