Police are attending a shooting in California, with reports of 20 victims, say officials.

From the BBC:

Fire officials in San Bernardino said it was responding to a "20 victim shooting incident" and it was working to clear the scene.

ABC News reports that there are 12 people dead but police have not confirmed that number.

It is still a "very active scene" and police are trying to secure the building, said a police spokeswoman.

There may be up to three gunmen, she said, and they were heavily armed and possibly wearing body armour.

It's being reported on because as a country we're too stupid to solve this problem like many other countries have.

Risking the plot twisting yet again and enduring the irony of myself being the one suggesting the 48 hour rule, I'm going to go ahead and call ya out on this choice bit of idiocy now. Since about the only hallmark now missing from this is the shouts of "Allah Ackbar!" while shooting, it is now fairly safe to call this one Islamic Terror. If we can all safely assume you included France in the group of countries 'smart' enough to 'solve' this problem.... and they probably just finished burying the last of their recent dead from the same damned thing. I think the precise, scientific term for your idea is WRONG.

Question. Did you really think this one wasn't going to be the usual and obvious perps or did you just just say "Fuck it! I'm gonna get in some cheap political posturing while I can."

I happen to know for a fact that as of the time of your post all you have to go on with that remark is the guy's name is "Sayeed". Now tomorrow may tell a different story, but as of right now this sounds a lot like a workplace rampage, which the USA also has a solid reputation for.

You should try using science some time. It is a field based on observation, and it abhors assumption. Gun-related deaths in the United States are waaaaaaaaaaaay higher than France, including the recent attacks.

Ok, that and 'devout Muslim' (per the NY Daily News... could be dodgy but doesn't look like it) and do we really need more? We might still insist we aren't at war with them, they are most certainly at war with us. One guy getting horked off and going postal is one thing. Going postal AND bringing your brother in on it and some as yet unspecified female? And everybody just happening to have matching camo, body armor and AK-47s in a state that doesn't exactly make owning that sort of hardware easy? Oh, I forgot. The official Narrative you guys keep insisting on says the Ft. Hood shooter, the Ark recruiter and the more recent one in TN are also of unknown motive. Even though the Ft. Hood one (I refuse to use their names, just mad dogs needin' putting down) did shout "Allah Akbar!" during his hunt.

Yes. Quit cherry-picking details to support your narrative, look closer.

It's worth noting that all his targets were coworkers of his, those killed were not affiliated with anything resembling an interesting target, and there was no message. It doesn't fully add up, sorry. Sounds more like 'going postal'.

"Then, on Friday, hours before the FBI announcement, Fox New confirmed that Malik had pledged her allegiance to ISIS as the morning attack began. She and her husband were killed hours later in a shootout with police just two miles away. Those developments confirmed the suspicions of many, and left it obvious that Malik, at least, was driven by radical Islam."

      > You should try using science some time.

Science is incompatible with religion - just ask every atheist here. And jmoriss is a religious extremist.

But seriously his craven attitude towards muslims isn't a function of logic. Being a religionist he can only see the world in terms of competing faiths. It's his tribe versus their tribe and after all those years of religious indoctrination his brain is too hard-wired to even conceive of any other paradigm. He's like a flatlander incensed that anyone would claim there is a 3rd dimension.

Science incompatible with religion? That really depends on the religion. Consider bahai, whose prophet has declared that true Science never conflicts with true religion.
