Police are attending a shooting in California, with reports of 20 victims, say officials.
Fire officials in San Bernardino said it was responding to a "20 victim shooting incident" and it was working to clear the scene.
ABC News reports that there are 12 people dead but police have not confirmed that number.
It is still a "very active scene" and police are trying to secure the building, said a police spokeswoman.
There may be up to three gunmen, she said, and they were heavily armed and possibly wearing body armour.

You miss the point. I don't come here for general news and I doubt anyone else does also. We are in no danger of missing this story.
I cannot speak for anyone else (I do think a lot of our community will agree with me) but I come here for the discussions of stories in the news by a generally well informed community of people. Being generally well informed and well educated, the tendency of the site leans towards technology and science, but seeing as how non-tech and non-science stories draw a lot of response it is obvious that the interests of our community ranges far beyond just technology and science. We usually get far more interesting posts (once we get beyond the trolls and the whining about submissions) on any given subject than you will find at any other news source site. If you want just science and technology, I am sure you can find sites that will cater to you or maybe you can submit enough science and technology stories here to drown out the "noise".
