Democratic Party Chair to Resign Over Wikileaks Emails

Florida Representative Debbie Wasserman-Schultz has announced she will resign as chair of the Democratic National Committee. The resignation is to become effective after the party's convention. The organisation's e-mail system was hacked; leaked e-mails appear to confirm accusations that Wasserman-Schultz had taken action favouring Hillary Clinton in her contest against Bernie Sanders to become the Democratic Party's presidential nominee. Sanders had previously called for Wasserman-Schultz to resign, a request he reiterated in light of the leak.

Wasserman-Schultz said in a statement:

I know that electing Hillary Clinton as our next president is critical for America's future. I look forward to serving as a surrogate for her campaign in Florida and across the country to ensure her victory.

    The democrats have not served the poor and working class since 1996 when Bill's disastrous one-two punch of NAFTA and "welfare reform" was inflicted on us. I was only 10 or 11, and didn't understand what these things meant back then.

    Yes, you most definitely do have pre-teen political beliefs. You really should look into using your brain once in a while and adding some maturity to them.

    If you're going to troll at least make the trolling germane to the conversation...and I don't think anyone whose entire political corpus can be summed up in the mantra "taxation is theft" has any right to accuse other people of "pre-teen beliefs."

    You know that quote about the difference between Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged, and how AS stunts a young man's development in early, rebel-without-a-clue teenagerhood?
