Research based on the previous four summer Olympics has indicated that travel during the Olympics typically does not exceed baseline travel volume patterns to the host city
[...] With the exception of [Chad, Djibouti, Eritrea, and Yemen], the Games do not pose a unique or substantive risk for mosquito-borne transmission of Zika virus in excess of that posed by non-Games travel.
The CDC mentions that the assessment is based on worse case scenario projections that include assuming maximal seasonal transmission, no anti-mosquito precautions, and returning to the home country at the point of maximal viremia.

I am. The whole thing has degraded into something wholly hijacked by commercial interests. While it's a windfall for connected businesses (those with the highest bribes), we can see in places like Brazil where the common people are tortured to make way for the Olympic apparatus.
The Olympics is a bunch of bullshit anyways until we conclusively figure out how to deal with doping... including new competition groups where doping is approved. In any case, I don't believe them for a second anymore that there "clean" when competing. Yay! I can watch somebody with millions behind them and the best science... while people were evicted from their homes. Yeah, sign me up for that....
Take all the corruption and malfeasance out of the whole affair and I might get excited about the Olympics again. As it stands, the greatest Olympic competition every 4 years is who can out-corrupt who.
Technically, lunchtime is at any moment. It's just a wave function.

When was it not controlled by commercial interests?
Maybe we should ask Aristarchus.
