Delta Airlines last night suffered a major power outage at its data center in Atlanta that led to a systemwide shutdown of its computer network, stranding airliners and canceling flights all over the world.     Maintenance is probably better. "If I sign off on this in it's current state, I'll lose my license" provides leverage that IT people don't have to push back against "not in the budget".
