Television news has long used graphics at the bottom of their screens to identify the people and places in their stories – but with the 2016 presidential race, two networks lately have been injecting analysis into them during their news reporting.

It started in June when Donald Trump denied having said Japan should have nuclear weapons. CNN inserted this snarky line in their chyron:

TRUMP: I NEVER SAID JAPAN SHOULD HAVE NUKES (HE DID)

[...] While fact-checking may or may not be a legitimate new use of the chyron, what is noticeable is a distinct absence of chyron fact-checking for various claims made by Clinton.

For instance, Clinton recently told Fox News' Chris Wallace that FBI Director James Comey had called her answers about her private email use as secretary of state "truthful" – he did not make such a sweeping statement.

The US media is biased toward the "progressive" candidate - this is not news.

Such a thing being true would be news. The US media was biased against the progressive candidate, Sanders, and biased for the corporatocratic candidate, Hillary. Hillary is not progressive or liberal in any way, unless both words have become so meaningless that, like "left" and "socialist", they just mean "not a fascist" or "not a bigot".

Let me start by making it clear that I am opposed to everything Trump stands for with every fiber of my being; Hillary, I merely despise for her dishonesty and warmongering.

Hillary is not progressive or liberal in any way.

"Progressive" means seeking progress for the majority in an anti-Authoritarian and anti-Plantation Capitalist direction.
Clearly, -that- does not apply to Hillary.

A "Liberal Democracy" taxes those who are doing well, in proportion to their success (gained via the infrastructure which the commonwealth has provided), and attempts to use that to make a stable society by providing a safety net to support those who are less successful.

While Neoliberals like Hillary have shifted the demographics of taxation, they aren't of the "Taxes Are Stealing" mindset as held by those who currently call themselves Libertarians.

Hillary and her ilk still see the usefulness of the Bread and Circuses paradigm and haven't completely given up on the redistribution model.
As such, I wouldn't dismiss the Liberal badge for her quite yet.

    .
Your other stuff gets top marks from me.
