The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) has launched an investigation into a video filmed at night on its Geneva campus depicting a mock ritual human sacrifice, a spokeswoman said Wednesday.
The bizarre video which has circulated online for days shows several individuals in black cloaks gathering in a main square at Europe's top physics lab, in what appears to be a re-enactment of an occult ceremony.
The video includes the staged "stabbing" of a woman.

Sometimes I look at the YouTube conspiracy videos, because they're very easy to find just searching for LHC events anyways. In particular is my favorite where they are claiming we are opening up interdimensional vortices to allow craft to move through them. It was claimed during the experiment the statue of Shiva was *inside* the accelerator providing some kind of focusing element for the anal probes or something, IIRC (probably not). In any case, Shiva plays a part in the conspiracies.
Another conspiracy is that it is entirely Satanic in origin and that the main purpose of LHC is to open a portal for Satan to enter the world.
IMHO, This was CERN employees trolling the shit out of YouTube commenters specifically.
Technically, lunchtime is at any moment. It's just a wave function.

I've heard that one. John Carmack, right?
But really, why would a bunch of researchers care in the least about any of it? Orchestrating a prank like this requires a little more then the 2minutes of coffee table jokes this topic would have earned at the launch break.
I mean, look at those capes and fake dagger... That takes money! And they needed to make sure the security guards were off patrol \ in on it... Would you have spent time & money on this nonsense for the sake of some anons? Nah. This is passion for the cause. It needs to hit enough of them close and personal to actually get a bunch of grads to do something not involving better grades. And making fun of some idiots online is at most, reddit post worthy.
