A research team led by a Northwestern University scientist has discovered that male animals, through their invisible chemical "essence," prime female animals for reproduction but with the unfortunate side effect of also hastening females' aging process.

"The male signals trigger the female to 'go for it'—to put more effort into reproduction—but then the body suffers," said Ilya Ruvinsky, of the department of molecular biosciences at Northwestern's Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. "There is a fine balance between reproduction and body maintenance, and this balance can be tipped by the male. We now are starting to tease apart this complexity."

Using the tiny transparent roundworm C. elegans, a well-established model for biomedical research, Ruvinsky and Erin Z. Aprison identified two distinct signals produced by males that affect female reproduction. The females sense the signals and respond by altering their physiology.

Children usually get the blame for female aging, but it looks like males might be the original culprits.

A guy who marries statistically extends his lifespan.
A gal who marries statistically decreases hers.

The data doesn't marry your hypothesis. Married men die earlier than married women.

That's because, before marriage, a man yearns for the women he loves.
After marriage, the Y becomes silent.

Married men die earlier than married women.

That statement doesn't contradict the statements in the post you replied to (note that I have no idea whether those statements are true). If all the statements are true, then the order is:

lifetime(unmarried men) lifetime (married men) lifetime(married women) lifetime(unmarried women)

I am guessing you wanted to use < but html ate it.

unmarried men are what we call "bums"
married men are what we call "oppressor/privileged"
married women are what we call "poor"
unmarried women are what we call "empowered/inspiration"

May be the society's attitude has got something to do with it?

        On Topic:
Aren't unmarried women having more sex than married women? I would hope unmarried women to be surrounded by more men than married women.

Probably the married women just don't tell about it as openly.

          You guessed correct.

I'd consider it an improvement if any < which the software doesn't recognize as part of an allowed tag would be automatically transformed into < instead of removed.

So what? The GP post never compares men to women. It compares one type of man to another type of man and then one type of women to another type of women. It is invalid to infer any cross male and female stats.
