AlterNet reports

A new report by the Huffington Post [September 15] reveals Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump told Peter Thiel he would nominate the PayPal co-founder and one-man anti-free speech crusader to the Supreme Court if elected president.

Thiel--who bankrolled a devastating blow to First Amendment rights earlier this year when he secretly paid $10 million in legal expenses to support Hulk Hogan's defamation lawsuit against Gawker Media--is apparently just the type of freedom-loving, Bill of Rights-protecting intellectual Trump hopes to stack on the Supreme Court.

A source close to Thiel told Huffington Post the GOP candidate "deeply loves Peter Thiel", which isn't terribly surprising considering Thiel served as a delegate for Trump, spoke at the candidate's convention, and pretty much became a walking how-to guide for Trump's promise to "open up libel laws". According to the source, Trump has "made it clear he will nominate" Thiel.

"It's not clear whether Trump has indeed offered to nominate Thiel--only that Thiel has said Trump would nominate him and that Trump's team has discussed Thiel as a possible nominee", the Huffington Post article reads. "Both sources requested anonymity, given that Trump and Thiel have each demonstrated a willingness to seek revenge against parties they feel have wronged them."

Both Thiel's spokesperson and Trump's press secretary denied Trump's indication, and Thiel--who sits on Facebook's board and serves as the chairman of the software company Palantir--told the Huffington Post he's not interested in the job.

We've previously referenced Thiel in contexts from "Mean People" to vampirism.

So what. I didn't just tell a lie, I made it the centerpiece of my campaign to gain supporters from Tea Party type voters. And it worked!

I repeated the lie every day at the top of my lungs, looking straight at the camera with emphatic body language and with complete and utter self-assurance that made all the Obama haters think that I had him dead to rights. I told them I was absolutely right about this. Smart people had looked into it and told me so. Barack Obama wasn't born here, so he shouldn't have been allowed to run for elective office in the USA. ANY elective office.

But in retrospect, all this proves is what a great negotiator I am, and master of The Art of The Deal.

BTW my co-author of that book is an absolute schmuck and you shouldn't listen to him. He's a total loser, a bad human being, a disgrace.

I'm the one you want negotiating deals on behalf of the USA with leaders like Vladimir Putin. Who is, by the way, a fabulous leader who we all should emulate. I'm going to ask Putin to take the lead in fighting ISIS and that will free up a lot of money and resources for the Great Wall of Trump on the Mexican border.

But of course, Mexico will pay for that wall. I had a great conversation with their President, but the subject of the wall never came up.

Nevermind that the issue was first raised by Hillary's Halderman. Both Hillary and Trump are just as guilty of the refusal to accept Obama's birthplace. I would say Hillary got more of it because it helped her during her primary against him, even though she still lost.

No, you got that wrong. And just to head you off at the pass, no, the mound of citations you are about to dump in response don't say what you purport they say. At least not the credible ones, anyway. It really is galling the amount of disinformation being spewed by Trump and his supporters; I feel like I am getting more stupid every time I listen to that yutz.

I can't wait to withdraw from NATO because my friend Vladimir assures me it's the right thing for the USA to do.

BTW Vladimir said, in public, that I am brilliant. And that is a huge compliment, coming from such a great leader.

Did he say that to any other candidate running for President, in either party? No! Did they wish he did, yes of course. That jealousy is why they're criticizing me for pointing it out. What losers!

As for that letter viciously attacking me, signed by so-called Republican experts on national security, what a bunch of nonsense. I know more about fighting ISIS than the generals! Believe me, I, Donald Trump, have a plan to Make America Great Again.

      I alone can fix!
