Some people were wondering (well, I was at least), why Julian Assange seems to take such an active role in the USA presidency election (by publishing delicate emails at a sensitive point in time). While both candidates are somewhat controversial, the current leaks seem to be quite focused on the democrats candidate, Hillary Clinton. A tweet sent from wikileaks twitter-account, referencing this story on truepundit, might shed some light on these animosities between Hillary Clinton and Julian Assange: Allegedly, Clinton suggested in 2010 to kill Assange with a drone:

"Can't we just drone this guy?" Clinton openly inquired, offering a simple remedy to silence Assange and smother Wikileaks via a planned military drone strike, according to State Department sources. The statement drew laughter from the room which quickly died off when the Secretary kept talking in a terse manner, sources said. Clinton said Assange, after all, was a relatively soft target, "walking around" freely and thumbing his nose without any fear of reprisals from the United States.

This might heat up expectations and speculations regarding the announced upcoming leaks. Another interesting question might be, how neutral will the Ecuadorian government stay in this struggle. Afterall, Julian Assange does rely on their hospitality at the moment. Will they stay out of it? Or might they have some vested interest to make sure the future US-president is from the democrats? Or would they actually be interested to see Trump being elected?

takyon: WikiLeaks' Assange signals release of documents before U.S. election

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said on Tuesday the group would publish about one million documents related to the U.S. election and three governments in coming weeks, but denied the release was aimed at damaging Hillary Clinton. Assange, speaking via a video link, said the documents would be released before the end of the year, starting with an initial batch in the coming week. Assange, 45, who remains at the Ecuadoran embassy in London where he sought refuge in 2012 to avoid possible extradition to Sweden, said the election material was "significant" and would come out before the Nov. 8 U.S. presidential election.

[...] "The material that WikiLeaks is going to publish before the end of the year is of ... a very significant moment in different directions, affecting three powerful organizations in three different states as well as ... the U.S election process," he said via a video link at an event marking the group's 10th anniversary. He said the material would focus on war, weapons, oil, mass surveillance, the technology giant Google and the U.S. election, but declined to give any details. "There has been a misquoting of me and Wikileaks publications ... (suggesting) we intend to harm Hillary Clinton or I intend to harm Hillary Clinton or that I don't like Hillary Clinton. All those are false," he said.

"Can't we just drone this guy?" Clinton openly inquired... Isn't this exactly opposite her whole "That is not the right temperament to be commander-in-chief" and "not the right temperament" arguments against Trump?

Pity the American public. Their choice is between an liar/thief and a moron.

It's not contradicting. She'd be a cold-blooded killer rather than an egomaniac on a rampage. Not much of a choice, but as I stated before, I trust she knows when the world burns, USA burns with it. I still think she'd be the lesser desaster in comparison. Why does the better choice still have to be that bad?

I think the moron would be a better choice. People would question and delay every controversial move and try to steer him in a different direction.

And perhaps people would have better options in some time.

I trust the fool far more....

        Uh, No.

I don't trust a fool with the button. Someone who sitting on their golden toilet bowl at 3 AM on FaceTwit deciding to nuke someone because he is offended by reality and that other people have different opinions. Or they said something bad about me. Or they replayed what I said -- which is enough to make me look bad.

I would rather have the liar / thief candidate who understands that there are actual consequences to using nukes.

But the fool candidate doesn't understand that there are consequences to anything. He and his family have never had to deal with consequences. They're rich. Consequences are for poor people. Rules don't apply to them. The world revolves around them. Other people protect them. They don't have to worry about losing money. Or what they say might come back to bite them. Reality is whatever they want it to be in the moment.

I would prefer the liar / thief who has some sanity and thinks a little beyond their immediate gratification. Even if they are the liar and thief. It really is down to a choice between lesser evils.

You would rather have a dooooooooof who would drone her enemies in a second in control, then a dooooooooof who is not allowed to push a button if his life depended on it? He can't just push a button and start a nuclear war! He can't do that unilaterally...

Damn, vote Hillary, and watch the world go WTF?

The US is on the way out: you should be planning for China. Instead, you are planning for"we hate Americans".

George Bush asked "why does the world hate Americans? You are why. The world wishes Americans would just SHUT THE FUCK UP, and become humans that don't revere the dollar more than human existence!!!

The dollar will buy you things.... Facebook will give you 'friends', but being a human will make you ...... ah, shit... just vote for Hillary and go away.

Hillary supports mass surveillance, supports no-fly lists, supports the Patriot Act, supports the TSA, and supports countless similar unconstitutional nonsense, and you claim she "hasn't been all that bad"? Oh, for you. It's all about you.

Trump isn't any better on those issues, either.

And that's the point. Hillary is a terrible choice, but every bad thing you can say about her, you can also say about Trump. And he has some doozies that Hillary doesn't share.

If I were in a swing state I'd probably grit my teeth and vote for Hillary.

She has people who owe her, and will do as she says, whereas he has no friends in Washington and he couldn't do anything if he wanted to.

The middle East is burning and she is a part of that... so obviously, she doesn't know SHIT!

She is NOT the better choice... Stein, maybe, but not fucking Hillary!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The better choice is to hold another election and let Johnson and Stein duke it out.

      Drone Hillary... best choice!

If you must, drone her on her next debate... Two birds with one stone? Maybe with this election her alleged precarious health condition could count in her favour. Who would be most likely vice president? Or, could she be vice-president when Trump is elected president? She would drone him and get a heart-attack out of excitement.

The best part is the dems who disliked Hillary, and in some cases hated her, and who voted Sanders are now clamoring to vote for her because Trump cant win.

Whats worse, if Hillary does win, the Trump camp will shit its collective pants and we will have an even bigger divide to fight across to get anything done. The only hope is the reps get their shit together next election and stop pimping the good 'ol boys.

If trump weren't such a fraud, he'd get my vote. I like pissing into the mainstream. But I will not piss into the wind.
