The next President of the United States will inherit the keys to the social media kingdom:

What happens to President Barack Obama's 11.1 million Twitter followers on Inauguration Day? The White House says Obama's official @POTUS account will be taken over by the next president, who will start with a huge following but a clean slate of tweets. Obama's tweets will move over to a new handle, @POTUS44, by the National Archives and Records Administration.

The same will take place with Obama's Facebook and Instagram accounts, along with other Twitter accounts including Michelle Obama's @FLOTUS and Joe Biden's @VP accounts.

You can read all about it on the White House weblog.

    1. find a way to get the worst possible candidates running against each other.
    2. find a way to get power/money/sex so mixed up, none of the candidates or their spouses or children seem to know what is "correct" behaviour around women.
    3. have so many dodgy, broken, hackable election technologies that no one can really trust the results, anyway.

    I'd say that shows innovation.

But it's okay because they're all vulnerable in different ways. Isn't it nice to have a variety of proprietary black boxes used to count votes? Don't you just feel completely secure?

I'm still in awe of the old-school foul-up, the hanging chad.

To me, a "hanging chad" just sounds like someone didn't learn how to wipe their arse properly.

Oh please. clinton is far from the worst possible candidate. she's an ambitiously competent bureaucrat, no different from someone like biden or gore. but as there is no archetype for an ambitiously competent woman the cognitive dissonance is strong and the more rigid someone is, the more they seek external justification for that dissonance.

        So, hyperbole.
I am sure there are a few people out of the eligible millions who'd be better candidates, and a better President than either of the current options.

Not really. The cognitive dissonance is thick.

If the BS thats taught in schools and promoted by corporate media is true, then whats going on is nonsense.

In the real world, the establishment has owned both parties for decades and given a fake choice based on social issues where nothing is ever changed by the candidates. So you got globalist establishment corporate shill Hillary.

To oppose that as a private citizen you need to be a lifelong billionaire at least, and willing to give the system the finger. So thats ... what... Trump? Maybe Peter Thiel next election cycle? If there had been no trump we'd be stuck with an establishment shill cuckservative neocon like paul "the traitor" ryan or probably low-T jeb.

The globalist candidates are excellent candidates always doing what they're paid to do, if you're a globalist. If you're a mere citizen they suck because the leaders are paid to ignore us or use us as cannon fodder and they pretty much stay bought.

That is the source of panic about Trump.

    Strange, this page,
    https://www.houseofnames.com/lecher-family-crest [houseofnames.com]
says that the Letchers first came to England with the wave of migration after 1066...

Or did you mean that other kind of letcher? That might have been Ben Franklin who seems to have been carrying on in both France and the Colonies before (and after) 1776.
