President-elect Donald Trump is clearly antagonistic toward the mainstream media. That attitude is unlikely to change after Inauguration Day. His disdain for journalists and reluctance to release details about his finances and business ventures may force journalists to rely increasingly on anonymous sources, a strategy that reputable news organizations have long frowned upon.

So in the age of Trump, how should a reader approach coverage that relies primarily on anonymous sources?

Read the news like a spy.

Where did I say ONLY Trump? And furthermore, why should we give up calling out their bullshit? Just because you gave up and are satisfied with a cock up your ass doesn't mean the rest of us have to sit like a bitch and take it.

Calling people out changes nothing. It's like people think signing a change.org petition is going to do anything. It's a complete waste of your time.

If you want change then 'we', on the more liberal side, need to stop being so willing to support people like Hillary as "the lesser of two evils." This election should have been between Sanders and Trump, and I think Sanders would likely have won by a landslide. But the DNC knew they could run literally anybody and most people would still vote for them under the "Well, they're better than Trump" attitude.

This suggestion will of course also fail but at least for a 'good' reason: You can lead a horse to water, but you can't force it to drink. Voting for people as the lesser of two evils is hurting yourself since it perpetuates this system. But this is still a million times better than making your goal to "call people out." Rolling with the same saying that would be like repeatedly observing that a horse in the middle of the desert is thirsty. Yeah, everybody knows this - good on you. Maybe you'll get some upvotes or retweets and feel like you've made a real difference, but of course you haven't.
