McClatchy reports:

A Russian venture capitalist and tech expert whose name and company are mentioned in the now-notorious document alleging connections between the Donald Trump campaign and Russian hackers says no intelligence officers have ever contacted him about the accusations, which he says are false.

A report compiled by a former Western intelligence official as opposition research against Trump [...] alleged that global tech firm XBT Holding, with operations in Dallas, was instrumental in the hack of leaked Democratic Party emails that embarrassed Hillary Clinton and fellow Democrats.

XBT, owner of Dallas-based enterprise-hosting company Webzilla, is run by a successful Russian tech startup expert, Aleksej Gubarev. In a phone interview from Cyprus, where he said he'd lived since 2002, Gubarev said he was surprised to see his name in the report.

[...] Gubarev said he operated 75,000 servers across the globe and got real-time information if there had been hacking or illicit activity tied to his businesses. There is no evidence of that, he said, adding that no one has contacted him.

[...] If law enforcement wants to talk with him, Gubarev said, his door is open.

Everyone thinks Trump is some sort of hard line neo conservative. He is more akin to your local used car salesman. Everything is negotiable and he will make you feel good while he does it so everything is 'win-win' for everyone involved. Bad deal on either side and he will usually walk unless he decides he does not like you. I think both Dems and Repubs are going to be in for a shock on how flexible he is on things.

He has already done what I wanted. At this point it is just going to be amusing to watch him to make fun and bring those stuffy political hack blowhards down a peg or two.

They want to paint him to be that way so they can attack the ghost straw man illusion that they created. He honestly has not done too much yet. He is also being fairly tight on what is going on. The media has gotten kinda lazy they are used to the gov spoon feeding them. They now will have to go to work. They do not know how to do it and are acting like the guy who just lost his position to some H1B and about how they will crash and burn if he is not around. He is going to make them better if they want it or not. They are throwing everything at the wall and trying to see what shit sticks. Because gossip and blamestorming is more fun and real news takes work. Next week they will have another narrative, impeachment. Which I am sure some lapdog in congress will get rolling and the DNC media will harp on to make sure people want it with the RNC media showing the obvious outrage.
