Auto loan delinquencies in the fourth quarter hit their highest level since the financial crisis, a report out Thursday revealed.
About $23.27 billion in loans were 30 days or more late as of Dec. 31 — a whopping 14 percent increase from the year earlier and the most since the $23.46 billion in the third quarter of 2008, according to the New York Federal Reserve.
Delinquencies have moved up as the credit quality of the loans has deteriorated and the length of the auto loans has increased — sometimes to 84 months. [...] Delinquencies are the canary in the coal mine when it comes to losses for carmakers.

I drive a subcompact and am constantly disrespected for it. So many assholes will jump in the other lane, pass me, get in front of me, and immediately put on the brakes and turn. It's to the point I've learned that if somebody tries to overtake me, I actually need to race them. Gotta get out in front of that "slow" subcompact! It's so stupid.
(And guess what, since my engine isn't hauling 5 tons of SUV, I always win those stupid impromptu races. I'll let somebody in a car that actually is fast do whatever, but not assholes in SUVs and Ford F-Teen-50s. Amazingly though none of the fast cars like couple ZR-1s or handful Shelby Mustangs or even that guy with the Impreza WRX do that shit.)
Yeah, I cry because I don't have the ZR-1 I wish I did. I make sure to cry big salty crocodile tears over gas receipts showing 40 some odd MPG. Given how superficial women are, I don't expect I'll ever get a date with one of those assholes, but I've never been interested in women anyway. My partner and I aren't rich by any means, but you can live fairly well when you take a "fuck you and go to hell" attitude towards women.
I hope this economic collapse is epic when it comes. This is just one more sign. It's almost here. Just a little while more now.

It's not because you drive a subcompact, it's because people are stupid assholes. They did the same thing when I was driving a luxury sedan, and even back when I drove a minivan.
