After nearly two months of downtime, the semi-private BitTorrent tracker Demonoid resurfaced online this weekend. The site was pulled offline due to hosting problems and had to endure some internal struggles as well, but barring a few bugs, it's now back in action.

[...] Late January the site went down due to hosting and some internal problems and was forced to remain offline longer than expected.

According to Deimos, the site's founder, there was some disagreement with the person who handled most of the technical aspects of the tracker. After both sides failed to reach an agreement, he saw no other option than to take control again.

The comeback kid does it again...

I love the smell of torrenting in the morning. It smells, like victory. Well played, Demonoid. In the meantime, the people who have to pretend that they actually care about the people with the money are busy putting Digital Remonstration Muck into the html standard, and we all have to say, bittorrent still works, you fools. Fools, with Intellectual property. You know what they say, a Fool and his Intellectual Property are soon parted. Of course, the difference is, that holds for non-fools as well, since intellectual property is imaginary property, or not property at all. I, for one, violate copyright law at least 24 times a day. And you should too. Violate the copyright holders! Take their alleged claims to property, the way William Wallace struck back at the right of Prima Nocte! Live free, or don't live at all.

You do know Prima Nocte was never a real thing...
