Open source projects are by their nature intended to be welcoming, pulling in contributions from many different volunteers. But in reality, open source and the tech industry in general often lack diversity. Speaking at the Open Source Leadership Summit in February, Mozilla's Chief Innovation Officer Katharina Borchert told the crowd that working to bring ethnic, gender, and skill diversity to open source projects isn't just the right thing to do because of moral grounds, it's the right thing to do to make projects more successful.
Me, I beg to differ. Pretty sure success has to do with the diversity of thought/ideas rather than genetic diversity.

Er, no, when guys like him quote King it's to try and turn the message around on its head and weaponize it for their own ends :/
All I can say is that people who are more concerned about how the message is portrayed, than what it actually is, aren't the kind of people I respect.
The alt-reich like to quote him as the "good Negro" (i.e., the one who tells everyone else to shut up), in contrast with someone like Malcolm X or even W. E. B. DuBois...
At least they respect someone who is black. That's major progress.

All I can say, is that khallow is saying this? Do you not realize that MKKjr was a Communist? That he held a PhD in Philosophy? And OMG, he was an actual "man of God", a preacher, a teacher, a prophet! And all you got is what you respect? My respect for you is fading, khallow. I used to think you were worth a shit. But now I wonder.

Is your "respect" worth a shit? Read my damn post. It's quite clear that I wasn't speaking of King when I was speaking of respect. People who are worried that white racists will use King sayings for their own purposes, need a better quality of problem to worry about.
