Scott Wagner is an American businessman and state senator from the state of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Republican Party. What did he say?

"I haven't been in a science class in a long time, but the earth moves closer to the sun every year-you know the rotation of the earth," Wagner, a York County state senator, said, according to StateImpact Pennsylvania. "We're moving closer to the sun."

He added, according to StateImpact's Katie Meyer, that, "We have more people. You know, humans have warm bodies. So is heat coming off? Things are changing, but I think we are, as a society, doing the best we can."

I haven't been in a science class in a long time...

Man, I think if we take in the past decade or so into perspective it's kind of clear it was over the moment Bill Buckley called Gore Vidal the old-timey version of "I'll beat you, you raging faggot" on national TV. This fate was further sealed by Nixon/Kennedy and now the surveillance overreach and fascists operating in plain sight. Like many people were saying at the time of the hysteria for deciding which politician's penis to base the WTC memorial on: The terrorists won. People were successfully conditioned. What you're seeing now is the slow decline of a very big empire. Shit doesn't happen overnight.

    It happens in the morning.
