What is “lunch shaming?” It happens when a child can’t pay a school lunch bill.

In Alabama, a child short on funds was stamped on the arm with “I Need Lunch Money.” In some schools, children are forced to clean cafeteria tables in front of their peers to pay the debt. Other schools require cafeteria workers to take a child’s hot food and throw it in the trash if he doesn’t have the money to pay for it.

In what its supporters say is the first such legislation in the country, New Mexico has outlawed shaming children whose parents are behind on school lunch payments.

Warren Buffet's grandsons get the same free lunch, just as kids with single moms busting balls to support their families, because the single moms pay tax just like Buffet. There is no shame, no sense of superiority, no sense of inferiority, at least as far as school lunch is concerned.

There's also the other side of the fence... Welfare families spending their welfare check on drugs and beer while the kids don't have milk in the fridge. Trying to help them get a job results in "Why do you work when you could collect welfare like me?"

Do you have any idea what kind of a festering hellhole of abuse, deprivation, and sex trafficking the foster system is? If you would wish that on any child, I can only hope *you* get reincarnated poor, and hopefully female and black, to a single mother, who tosses you out for being gay, and you end up "in the system." There is a reason social workers have such a high suicide rate.

Seriously, I have an absolutely 100% sincere question. What is stopping you from moving to Galt's Gulch, or Taxprotestia, or whatever you guys decide to name your land of the free? Upthread you mentioned Somalia was a bad example because there are scary warlords, socialism, and a failed state there. So what's keeping you people who didn't agree to be taxed (sorry, "stolen from at the point of a gun") from getting together and buying a nice tropical island where you can enter into free contracts with each other and not have to surrender a red cent for the common weal?

Wouldn't you guys just fucking love to make us nay-sayers eat crow when Libertarianania is kicking our asses economically? So, hop to it; time's a wasting.

Because they're full of shit and they know it. Their libertarian dream only works with the resources society has created so far. They don't want to put in the hard work and create a functioning society, they just want to bootstrap off the existing one to suit their own ideologies. How do you pay for firemen and police? Only the rich would be protected since only they could finance the tens of thousands of dollars it would cost per incident. Only the rich could call the police, for most people it would cost more to file a police report than their property was probably worth. Assault? Ha, suck it up restraining orders cost like $50k after the police and lawyers are done, not to mention ongoing enforcement costs.

They utterly fail to see that "voluntary" agreements mean that almost no one will pay taxes, the various government services will collapse almost overnight, and they have zero plan to account for such a crisis. The average person would not be able to afford these services, hell a lot of people don't want an ambulance called due to the thousands of dollars it would cost them! This troll is the one who can't seem to "get it" and so we should stop trying to help them. It will take a major personal crisis or exposure to societies actual problems, this internet discussion does nothing for the extremely close minded.

Hell, from discussions on here I became vastly more supportive of the 2nd amendment, but this troll.... ain't nothing I can say to change that face. Some people you just have to wait until their worldview bubble gets popped, until then they are operating on so many assumptions that it would take weeks to review the facts and educate them to the point where they could see why they were wrong.
