Yep, we had a few where I grew up, one of them was the drummer of the Metallica cover band I played in. We had to sneak practice times in when he knew his parents wouldn't find out (he had no drum set and learned to play at school, which was impressive since he could play Whiplash and One at full-speed). When the lead guitar player in our band won 4 tickets to a Metallica concert, our drummer asked his parents but was not allowed to go with us.
They're very weird about music in that they're not allowed to listen to non-Jehovah's Witnesses music. You get one in a school choir and you see them having to step off the bandstand every now and then because it's against their religion, or something, to listen to or participate in unsanctioned music.
