The article goes on to explain that the meteors originate from Halley's Comet, which will next approach Earth in 2061. Mark your calendars!

    Same thing with radio. I believe the Mississippi River is actually the dividing line.

    Yep, although there is some wiggle room. Stations near the river can keep their call sign if they move their transmitter across the Mississippi. A local station near me did this not long ago.
