"The openSUSE project has announced that its authentication system has been breached and a number of services have been shut down or put into read-only mode. "This includes the openSUSE OBS, wiki, and forums. The scope and impact of the breach is not yet fully clear. The disabling of authentication is to ensure the protection of our systems and user data while the situation is fully investigated. Based on the information available at this time, there is a possibility that the breach is limited to users of non-openSUSE infrastructure that shares the same authentication system." There does not appear to be reason to worry that the download infrastructure has been compromised.

So long, Suse, rest in peace. It was good knowing you, before you started taking the Microsoft drugs.

Runaway speaks truth, although I pains me to say so. What is that old saying? "When you lay down with Microsoft, you get up with a knife in your back." Works for not only SuSE, but for Stacker, and DRDos, and Wordperfect, and, well, any company or software organization that has been so foolish as to take money and sign agreements with the Land of Redmond. Even if you are a Finish cell phone company. And we few, we survivors, those of us burned in the fire of the blue screens of death, those of us tortured with WGA and WTF, we who fled, dragging our wounded, to the sanctuary of Rivendell, the land of Elves and Free Software, we remember, we will never forget, and if we find the goddamned One-token_ring, we will cast it into the bowels of Mount WannaCry. Ballmer is a Balrog, and he SHALL NOT PASS! (Fly, you fools!!)
