Armed police respond to serious incidents at London Bridge and Borough Market – with members of the public urged to reach areas of safety.

Since late yesterday evening [Saturday, 3 June], the Metropolitan Police Service has been responding to incidents in the London Bridge and Borough Market areas of south London. We are treating this as a terrorist incident and a full investigation is already underway, led by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.

[...] Six people have been killed in terror attacks on London Bridge and at Borough Market.
Three male suspects have been shot dead by police.
Canisters seen around the body of at least one of the suspects have been “established to be hoaxes”, police said.
Police believe all of those directly responsible for the attack have been killed.

[...] Since March there has been the Westminster attack by Khalid Masood, who mowed down pedestrians near parliament and stabbed a policeman, resulting in six deaths, including his own: and the Manchester bombing two weeks ago that killed 22. And now London again.

[...] An editor in the Sun’s London Bridge Street office says police confirmed that a number of blasts heard [...] were controlled explosions.

An investigation into the foreign funding of extremist Islamist groups may never be published, the Home Office has admitted.

The inquiry commissioned by David Cameron, was launched as part of a deal with the Liberal Democrats in December 2015, in exchange for the party supporting the extension of British airstrikes against Isis into Syria.

But although it was due to be published in the spring of 2016, it has not been completed and may never be made public due to its "sensitive" contents.

It is thought to focus on Saudi Arabia, which the UK recently approved £3.5bn worth of arms export licences to.

I find it interesting that this attack was carried out by three people - that negates the lone wolf angle as well as most other attempts to generally discredit individual attackers. And they also screamed "This is for Allah" as opposed to the standard allahu akbar which in some recent attacks some of the media has been translating for no apparent reason other than to make it less than 100% clear that it was yet another act of Islamic terrorism.

I wouldn't think anything of this if it was just one or the other, but an attack that didn't necessarily need 3 people using 3 people and translating their 'warcry' to English makes this seem less likely to be a coincidence.

Yes, exactly. These dorks want to incite religious war. They want to force their fellow Muslims into deciding "which side are you on", where "true believer" and "traitor" will be the only acceptable answers. They want their Christian neighbours to meet all Muslims (or those looking Muslim) with suspicion and hate, because they know that drastically increases the chances of Muslims to pick the "true believer" side.

They haven't reflected on that there are more British people than Muslims in the UK by a wide margin? If it comes to a sharp situation that can turn into a terminal and final result. Organized violence is something the west has refined for many hundreds of years.

The problem is that it's a religion. Logic and rationale almost immediately goes out the window in favor of blind belief and faith. Dying in a holy war is a sure fire ticket to 72 virgins. True, vigilant, belief in such things is enough to make people even desire death.

Are they even specified to be women? They might rock up to the Muslim version of the pearly gates and get presented with 72 UKIP voters with stained Y-fronts and a beer-gut poking out from under a string vest.

So, um, all these other Muslims you're so worried about? Where are they this fine morning? Out protesting en mass how their peaceful religion is being 'perverted' by the extremists? Yeah, thought not.
