Terrorists have attacked the Ayatollah Khomeini mausoleum and Iranian parliament in two nearly simultaneous incidents:

There have been multiple attacks in the Iranian capital of Tehran, according to state media. A woman was arrested after a bomb attack and shooting spree wounded two people at the Ayatollah Khomeini mausoleum south of the city Wednesday, the semi-official Fars news agency reports. The news agency reported that a second attacker is currently surrounded by security officers.

That attack occurred at the same time as a shooting in the Iranian parliament, in which at least three people were injured after an attacker stormed the building in central Tehran, according to state-run Press TV.

I just think it's interesting how we only ever cover murder-while-brown on this site.

Mass murder being committed worldwide in the name of Islam, on an almost daily basis, is more newsworthy. Currently averaging around 60 islamist murders a day during this years ramadan. Don't let the shocking number of victims put you off your racism narrative though.

Another sucker sticks his nose out. Compare that /day rate to population size. Besides, using religion as a scapegoat is the #1 used strategy of all time. Who cares about a little racism and the murders of innocent locals, we need to be outraged about a problem that statistically does not matter for any locals outside the middle east. We can't discuss the systemic problems that have lead us to this point, we need to focus on bombing the shit out of the area some more while justifying rampant bigotry which will totally not bite us in the ass.

Statistically you goof. Terrorist attacks are scary, but statistically you're more likely to die from just about anything else. You're pushing a narrative of fear and xenophobia unfounded in reality, my counter example of the Iraq War was to point out the hypocrisy and ignorance of your stance. It doesn't matter if you supported it, your country did it! If you're not in the US then you're country probably participated, or at least condoned it. To ignore a war started on false pretenses is absurd. To ignore the responsibility the major world players have in the Middle East is willful ignorance.

You're equating a huge percentage of the world's population (muslims) with the extremists. That is like me accusing you of being a KKK member who bombs abortion clinics and curb stomps gays. All I did was call out your bigotry, specifically bigotry since I can't claim you're racist. Currently you're just bigoted against muslims it would seem. What about illegal mexican immigrants? Are they all rapists, thieves and murderers?

In the UK today, we've had a nursery worker slashed with a knife by three females "for Allah", a youth with a machete apprehended by police in Barking and reports of a similar incident in Luton.

            Obey the fucking Law
            Avoid Air travel
Don't own a car or drive anywhere

Nope wasn't a war. We called it one, but for various reasons didn't make it official.

Besides that, how does that make it any better? Was a war built on lies, and the casualties were way higher than every terrorist attack combined from the last 100 years.

I'm sure the civilians that got bombed by aircraft felt so much better about it. "Well what can we do? Its war! We can't be angry at the Americans, its just war after all. Gotta break a few eggs for the omelette of democracy!"

It is fundamental disconnects and bad rationale that cause these massive divisions in these discussions. Sometimes there is room for different opinions but not in this case. The US perpetrated a massive campaign of terror against Iraq using massive deception and you can't wave it off just because it was backed by the most powerful government. That is tribal thinking, "well we're the good guys sooooo yeah, suck it!"

Police shootings have been covered quite a bit before, but I agree the trend on this site is the more politically divisive stories. The middle east is a bigger deal right now, the world is gearing up for WW3 so naturally people will be more interested in stories involving that area. Of course a lot of the western attacks should be treated as local news on par with other local violence, but that misses a great opportunity for propaganda!
