Germany is planning a new law giving authorities the right to look at private messages and fingerprint children as young as 6, the interior minister said on Wednesday after the last government gathering before a national election in September.
Ministers from central government and federal states said encrypted messaging services, such as WhatsApp and Signal, allow militants and criminals to evade traditional surveillance.
"We can't allow there to be areas that are practically outside the law," interior minister Thomas de Maiziere told reporters in the eastern town of Dresden.
It's not even certain that messages will be obvious to be... anything like they don't want to. A quick look how this can be done is the movie "The Saint" from 1997 where the contractor gets jobs that way. The hard quote is "where authorities install software on phones to relay messages before they are encrypted". Suppose the phone contains nothing of value. Not even the destination for the message because another unit transmits this via a analog transmission junk voice modulated with the actual real bits.
This panopticon idea is incredibly stupid technology-wise and a dangerous setup of society. The last time themes like this were current, neighbors told people in Armani uniforms that so-and-so did bad things so they could snatch their belongings or houses for themselves. And the whole society went down the drain. Oh wait, actually it was repeated after the mustache times with the sickle times. Both failed. This also shows why bootloader locking computer phones is detrimental to real security for real users. Because without it, enforced and silent installation will be hard.
And as for the motivation behind these moves. For some mysterious reason Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech, Slovakia, and Hungary seem to have been spared the latest string of violent attacks. How can that be? Nobel prize awaits! ;)

Please educate yourself on this issue, because it is much more complicated.
One thing Germany wanted is for these countries to take these economic-parasites (they are not refugees) and keep them in their own borders, by force. Because guess what happened the last time Poland tried to take some actual refugees (Christians from ME), they all fucking left for Germany and UK. Every one of them. Why? Because Poland doesn't give you social benefits so you can sit on your fucking ass and do nothing but plot Jihad. So Germany will no doubt force Poland and other Eastern European countries to also PAY these fucking parasites money equivalent to benefits they would get in Germany, which is MULTIPLES of what a person who actually works in these countries makes! Germany can get fucked.
Also, Poland does not give a fuck about the feelings of these leeches. So when they try to act out because there is pork everywhere, or some other bullshit, they will get laughed at, then they will get the shit beaten out of them. And if they insist on trying to spread their shitty religion (because it is a shit religion that preaches nothing but intolerance, hate, misogyny, polygamy, rape, murder, theft, molestation, bestiality and every other injustice or degeneracy I could imagine), they will simply disappear. You know how a Sharia Patrol would end in Lodz? I do...

Will Germany get fucked though? Or will Poland and the rest eventually just shut up and do as they are ordered to? I mean, there is still a way to go in legal proceedings, etc.. before the actual punishments start getting meted out. However once the legal proceeding are done and punishments start, what then? Will Poland leave the EU? Or accept that they have to toe to the German desires, or keep getting punished?
There was talk already of kicking Hungary out of the EU because of their refusal to listen to German orders, so that is a possibility. However given the choice between staying in the EU and doing as you are told to, vs leaving and being free (but possibly economically poorer), what would people do?
I have been watching Greece get fucked completely sore on all sides from the EU, and people still vote to remain within the EU, so the pull is strong, very strong. I suspect Germany has ways of keeping the rest in line. The east European countries are not Greece, but I will wait and see if they will have the guts to take it all the way with the refusal to obey orders.

Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Great Britain, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland could create their own union without the gigantic Brussels bureaucracy around their neck. There's now countries with the right economy and virtues to make it happen.
