A European Parliament committee wants end-to-end encryption to be enforced on all forms of digital communication to protect European Union (EU) citizens. The draft legislation seeks to protect sensitive personal data from hacking and government surveillance. EU citizens are entitled to personal privacy and this extends to online communications, the committee argues. A ban on "backdoors" into encrypted messaging apps like WhatsApp and Telegram is also being considered.
[...] "The principle of confidentiality should apply to current and future means of communication, including calls, internet access, instant messaging applications, email, internet phone calls and personal messaging provided through social media," said a draft proposal from the European Parliament's Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice, and Home Affairs.

In America, the history of circumcision is really quite sordid. I invite people to read about it, and be ashamed.
I'll note that 40% of Jews live in the United States, and are over-represented in the fields of medicine, broadcast journalism, law, and entertainment—all the aspects of society which have a profound impact on this issue. The American Academy of Pediatrics has had numerous "task forces" on infant circumcision, and Jewish people have been way over-represented on those, including a Jew who wrote poetry about Circumcision, and another Jew who bragged about coming from a long line of Mohels and who noted that he circumcised his own son on his kitchen table.

That is not a Christian thing though, that is a US thing, done to all who are Christian, or something else (or nothing at all). Nothing to do with the Christian religion. AFAIK it isn't done anywhere else but the US for non-religious reasons.

I was circumcised for no good reason at all. My parents are not religious. Team USA!

That's correct. Here in the UK at least, it would be very unusual for Christian or non-religious parents to have their baby boy circumcised (except of course where it's medically necessary).
