LHC double heavy particle to shine light on strong force

Scientists have detected a new particle at the Large Hadron Collider at Cern.

The discovery will help researchers learn more about the so-called "strong force" which holds the centres of atoms together.

The existence of the new particle was theoretically predicted but this is the first time it has been identified.

The details of the Xi-cc++ particle were presented at a high-energy physics conference in Venice.

[...] This is the first time that researchers have confirmed the existence of [a particle] with two heavy quarks. According to Prof Guy Wilkinson of Oxford University, there is an intriguing difference between the new particle and the ones that have been discovered before.

"In contrast to other particles of this type, in which the three quarks perform an elaborate dance around each other, a particle with two heavy quarks is expected to act like a planetary system, where the heavy quarks are like two stars orbiting one around the other, with the lighter quark orbiting around this binary system."

This raises the prospect of faster-than-light travel, teleportation, infinite free energy and other undreamed-of possibilities, if only the Creator was lazy and left us some nice buffer overflow exploits...

Not to be confused with the "Xi-rust", "Xi-go", "Xi-c#", "Xi-Python" or, indeed, the "Xi- Python" (it has a significant whitespace) particles.

The Xi-ruby particle may have been missed because it has a very short life.

Fortunately, there's no sign of Xi-Java so Oracle won't be claiming copyright on the entire universe yet.

After discovering the Xi-Haskell particle, a leading Nobel prize-winning quantum physicist at CERN was quoted or saying "This shows that the universe is far more complicated that we had thought and, frankly, I'm stumped - now can someone tell me what the fuck a monad is?"

You got it backward. This is prove that the CERN creates our universe. Here is why: First, it is clear that our universe is an interpretation (see all that quantum stuff). Second, note that with all that meta-ing, lambda-ing, objectiz-ing C++ more and more approximates the atoms and meta-structures of our universe. Third, take note that C++ interpreters are developed by CERN (first cin, now cling). But which is the virtual machine this interpreter run on? That's the (until now) secret Xi-c xenomorphic (short for eXtra-meta-morphic), instrinsically probabilistic, collapsing virtual machine. This is final proof that language creates the universe and may the source be with you (note the mispronunciation (on purpose) as displayed in star-wars).

Now what happens if they find an Xi-C# or even, Cthulhu help us, Xi-Java?

I just learned Xi-cc and now Xi-cc++ is out!? What's next, Xi-cc-node.js? I can't keep up anymore, damn whipper-snappers and their newfangled particles. And I'm keeping my epicycle orrery, screw Newton!
