In a shift from a mere couple of years ago, when a majority of Republican-Americans thought that higher education was a good thing, the majority of them now believe the opposite.
A Pew Research Center survey published Monday revealed voters have grown apart in their support of secondary education since the 2016 presidential election season, when a majority of Democratic and Republican Americans agreed the nation’s universities serve as a benefit for the U.S. Whereas 54 percent of Republicans said "colleges and universities had a positive impact on the way things were going in the country" in 2015, the majority now believe the opposite, with 58 percent saying such institutions negatively impact the state of the union.

Have you even BEEN to college? Maybe things have changed since the '70s, but there was no indoctrination when I was in school. There was history (I took a fascinating class about the 1920s), mathematics, physics, chemistry, art, literature. I saw no "indoctrination" at all, except for a single economics class where the professors maintained that since people in the third world could live on $1000 a year we should, too (right wing indoctrination). I stood up and pointed out that in Thailand where the median was $1000 you could feed a family of four at a restaurant for under a dollar, and ride a taxi all the way across the country for a buck (a bus for a nickle). Then I walked out and dropped the class and substituted an art history class.
But every other class I took was bullshit-free ind informative. Many were cool as anything!
If you have gone to college, tell me where so I can be sure to tell my daughter not to transfer there, because it sounds like a REALLY shitty school.
