The Apache Foundation has declared that none of its new software projects can include Facebook's booby-trapped BSD-licensed code.

The foundation's legal affairs director, Chris Mattmann, said over the weekend that libraries, frameworks and tools covered by Facebook's open-source-ish BSD-plus-Patents license should not be absorbed into any new projects.

"No new project, sub-project or codebase, which has not used Facebook BSD+Patents licensed jars (or similar), are allowed to use them," Mattmann wrote. "In other words, if you haven't been using them, you aren't allowed to start. It is Cat‑X."

The Cat‑X or "Category X" classification means a library is not allowed to be included with any Apache product.

Additionally, he said, any existing projects that rely on the BSD+Patents licensed libraries will have until August 31 to get rid of Facebook's code and find a suitable replacement that has been approved by the foundation.

There are also other places it is at play. Like all the female/black comedians who have taken over from the white men on Comedy Central. Cool, we've got women and men of color.... okay, where are the asians? Why is that only a black people or white female problem? Can't you BE INCLUSIVE and point out that is a classist issue, rather than a racial gender one?

I mean seriously, when that not-Trevor Noah guy (I forget his name now) lost his tonight show on CC, I just went 'wow, really? Followed by 'aduh'. The issue wasn't that he wasn't funny (well as funny as Trevor Noah or Samantha Bee, both of whom I find grating some shows.), but rather that he made every issue a black issue, even when the issue could've been shown to include the wider audience/populace, or other minorities even! But instead it just replaced 'privileged white people' content with 'privileged' (in the sense of being able to complain, and maybe bad PR some things) black people content, ignoring the wider scope of the issue.

But hey, I'm one of those cis white guys, so my opinion doesn't count, right?

Maybe the asian aren't feeling funny, so they are present in greater numbers on Serious Central? (grin)

Duh, the humanity can live without celebrity comedians; why the heck should one lose sleep on the matter of her/his opinion on comedy and comedians not counting?
Are you living in a so perfect world that you no longer have other reasons to be angry about?

(clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right. Here I am... but why should I care?)

I'm sure we all remember the Evergreen State College / Bret Weinstein fiasco. Anyway, from the Day of Absence program schedule I learned that Asians are as evil as whites:

Islamophobia and Asian Muslims, Mike Penhallegon (he/him), Eryvis Halphen (she/her), Colin Daniels (he/him):

We will examine and the prevalence of Islam in Asia, and the diversity those identities can hold. We will also examine from both personal and academic perspectives how Asian Muslims fit into the conversation of Islamophobia in the U.S, and how our cultural identities can often times shield us from it. With this in mind, we will explore the ways colorism in Asia sets the stage for Asians embracing anti-blackness in the U.S, with the awareness that Islamophobia is deeply rooted in antiblackness, and long predates 9/11.

How Asian-Americans Contribute to White Supremacy, Arianne Aquino (they/she) & Amira Caluya (they/them):

This workshop will provide a brief history of Asian-American presence in this occupied land. We will work to understand the model minority construct as well as the cultural, economic, and political ways AAs aid white supremacy and derail justice in this country. We'll also discuss some amazing AA idols to look up to and research, how to aid the movement, and how solidarity and action exist in our history.
