Arthur T Knackerbracket has found the following story:
A measure aimed at boosting female employment in the workforce may actually be making it worse, a major study has found.
Leaders of the Australian public service will today be told to "hit pause" on blind recruitment trials, which many believed would increase the number of women in senior positions. Blind recruitment means recruiters cannot tell the gender of candidates because those details are removed from applications. It is seen as an alternative to gender quotas and has also been embraced by Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Victoria Police and Westpac Bank.
In a bid to eliminate sexism, thousands of public servants have been told to pick recruits who have had all mention of their gender and ethnic background stripped from their CVs. The assumption behind the trial is that management will hire more women when they can only consider the professional merits of candidates. Their choices have been monitored by behavioural economists in the Prime Minister's department — colloquially known as "the nudge unit".
Professor Michael Hiscox, a Harvard academic who oversaw the trial, said he was shocked by the results and has urged caution. "We anticipated this would have a positive impact on diversity — making it more likely that female candidates and those from ethnic minorities are selected for the shortlist," he said. "We found the opposite, that de-identifying candidates reduced the likelihood of women being selected for the shortlist."

In before some dipshit points out that like 0.0001% of children are surgically assigned their gender.

In Michigan they have a law against that. Governor Snyder made it a felony, which is fantastic. It's done by what are called Dawoodi Bohra Muslims. You probably never heard of them but I read about it on Breitbart. Who knew there were Muslims in Michigan? I'll tell you, they're very sick. At a very young age, they sew the pussy shut. The Muslims, not Breitbart. Don't get me wrong, I love it when the ladies go under the knife for a nip & tuck. Very sexy! Except Mika, her face is a mess. Plastic surgery is terrific, but they should wait until they're 16. Just my opinion, I think they should wait. So they know what a pussy is for before they get it sewn up. Like I said, just my personal opinion, wait till they know what it's for! 🇺🇸

No, it most certainly is not. Even intersexed people are assigned a gender. This happens at birth, and that is a social construct and a legal fiction—the kind of social construct that TERFeminists love.
Now, 99.99% of the time, though, this social construct is at a comfortable intersection of reproductive gender and brain gender. Obviously, it cannot accurately accommodate intersexed people. I'll admit I don't know as much as I should about how brain gender manifests in intersexed people, but one person I knew kind of waffled between identified genders a few times (I forget that person's assigned, legal gender). I think they settled on female, but I didn't know them for very long, only a month or so.
If you're talking about brain gender, that's about two months after conception. 99.99% of the time, this matches genetic gender.
And sometimes Mom Nature gives you a big fucking middle finger, and reproductive gender does not match genetic gender, but I understand in those cases there's a good chance that brain gender will match reproductive gender and not genetic gender.
Hope that helps!
