Arthur T Knackerbracket has found the following story on CNET:

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is offering a clowns-only screening of Stephen King's "It," the classic horror story featuring Pennywise the murderous clown.

There are three clowns-only showings, all at Austin, Texas theaters on Sept. 9, the day after "It" opens in the US.

"For this special clown screening of IT, all attendees should arrive dressed as a clown in order to attend," the Alamo Drafthouse website explains. "Please arrive early and join us in the Barrel O' Fun (CNET note: The whaaat, now?) beginning at 5:30pm for an IT pre-party where we will have face-painters available for clown touch-ups, a photo booth, raffles for prizes, and other terrifying merriment. Please arrive in your own Pennywise best and be ready to float with us."

[Ed Note: The fear of clowns is Coulrophobia. The wikipedia page does NOT have pictures, which I find mildly amusing.]

I think they're idea to collect all those PMSing man hating feminists together for a women only screening of Wonder Woman is a bit worse.

The women-only showing of Wonder Woman is sexist.

They should instead have a showing where everyone has to dress as a woman.

As long as it's Amazon fashion (as opposed to fashion bought from Amazon.com, unless they have cosplayers selling there these days) and not what feminists think assigned males should be required to wear (strict standards from which womyn-born-womyn are, of course, exempt) because they think skirts and dresses constitute oppression (sorry, feminists, don't feel like swapping one restrictive dress code derived from the gender dichotomy for another restrictive dress code that's 50 years out of date and also derived from the gender dichotomy... of 50 years ago)....

      Then count me in.

Speaking of... does anybody know where to get a decent Xena cosplay? (Yeah, I know she's not an Amazon.) Every Xena cosplay I see is complete and utter fail, and I'm too lazy to learn how to use the sewing machine in my basement. Season 1 Gabrielle would work, too, since she is an Amazon.
