A 46-year-old man is facing federal charges accusing him of leaving a jar filled with explosives at a North Carolina airport as part of a war he pledged to fight on U.S. soil.

Michael Christopher Estes was arrested October 7 and charged with attempted malicious use of explosive materials and unlawful possession of explosive materials in an airport, according to a criminal complaint unsealed Tuesday.

The improvised explosive device, or IED, was found inside a jar at the Asheville Regional Airport about 7 a.m. on October 6, the FBI said in the complaint. Bomb technicians from the Asheville Police Department rendered the device safe. The baggage claim and lobby area of the airport were evacuated and shut down for about 2 hours. No one was injured.

They didn't stop the Vegas plot...

Though that was probably more of a CIA/Mossad thing anyway.

This would be the point where you provide the evidence that the LV shooter was something other than 1 guy with a defective brain.

It's too bad that USA stands alone among developed nations in being without universal healthcare.
Otherwise, you could get a zero-cost MRI of your brain and it would be apparent if your problem[1] is organic--or just a willingness to accept bad "information" from untrustworthy sources.

[1] The LV shooter could have had a brain scan as well.
Maybe they would have found a brain tumor and that could have been corrected.

...and all those people within the NSA who were voicing objections to violations of the law, who were then sent to a mandatory exam by the NSA shrink and rubber-stamped "unfit for duty" were in fact unfit for duty?

My carrier is AT&T. Years ago they did that phone company thing where they add extra charges for no reason and I called them to complain that I did not ask for that feature and demanded a refund. They complied, and then the usual "anything else I can do for you, sir?"

I told her, "Yes, tell your manager that I am in disagreement with your unconstitutional warrantless wiretapping in concert with the NSA and I demand that you immediately cease-and-decist such activity."

That was one year before the Snowden news broke. Everytime I tell people this funny story, including some who have worked in national security in the past, they laugh and say, "Oh yeah, you're on a watch-list, buddy!"

Like anyone is going to pay for that.

So locked into the status quo|status quo ante that you can't grasp UNIVERSAL ZERO-COST HEALTHCARE.
(It's done in all civilized countries.)

There is no such thing as zero-cost health care. Even the complete absence of health care has a cost. It looks like you're claiming that this is health care where you don't pay a copayment or anything else. It's a stupid idea because it encourages health care consumption which still costs the public money, it just costs them money through taxes rather than direct payments.

It's done in all civilized countries.

          No, it's not.
