Some Amazon customers in Orlando got a surprise when they opened the package that arrived on their doorstep. They ordered plastic storage bins, but the bins came with 65 pounds of marijuana.

"We love Amazon and do a lot of shopping on Amazon," said the customer, who asked not to be identified for safety reasons.

When she and her fiancé needed to put some things in storage, they placed an order for 27 gallon storage totes. But when the packages arrived, they knew something didn't feel right. "They were extremely heavy, heavier than you would think from ordering four empty bins," she said.

[...] Police seized the drugs and launched an investigation.

It had been shipped by Amazon's Warehouse Deals via UPS from a facility in Massachusetts.

[...] Orlando police said there have been no arrests, but they are still actively investigating the case.

Amazon sent a statement saying its customer service team worked directly with the customer to address concerns and will work with law enforcement to investigate the case.

I guess getting accidentally sent over half a million bucks worth of weed is when you find out if you're really serious about your anti-drugs stance.

Serious question for resident Canucks, is racism against black people a serious problem in Canada?

I thought that was just a U.S phenomenon.

Racism is just more overt in the US because Americans are more forthright. Everyone else is just as bad or worse, they just pretend they're not because lying is what civilized people do. Black person in rural Europe, Canada, Australia, etc, will face discrimination, they'll just smile in your face while they call you nigger.

Went to college with this (rich) guy from Canada, who insisted that the reason the US had black minorities and Canada had French minorities was because the US had first choice.

        ^THIS!

I see more 'racism' against the French than 'people of colour': the French used to constantly put up a stink about "Give us more and more and more..... or we'll separate" that it's gotten to the point where i used to say "Then separate, already".
Finally, this nonsense seems to have gone from the media (which was the main mover, anyways): media and the government pushing 'news'.

But i don't hear racism agains blacks, etc: i used to live in Toronto and never once heard "Niggger". But then again, i was going to college and hanging with intelligent, nice people, so.....

Travelling to the U.S. when i was first married, the first time we heard "nigger" was in the south. Kentucky, i think.
