I realize I'm going to get a lot of hate on here from saying what I'm about to say, but that's because most of you don't have to go through what I go through on a day-to-day basis.
Imagine a time and place where skin color and what's in your pants determine, with high statistical accuracy, exactly how successful or unsuccessful you may ever be. Imagine that the color of your skin marks you as a target not just by police, but as nonexistent by businessmen and less desirable by women. Imagine walking around all day, seeing people like Obama criticized for essentially yawning at the wrong time and Trump being praised for calling undocumented citizens "rapists and murderers," and not just being praised but being elected essentially by the entire groups of people who consider you a second-class citizen or even want you dead for the fact you were born the wrong skin color. I know it's hard to fathom, but that is the world both you and I inhabit. It's real. And I live it.
And yet, there is a group of people who say "We reject the status quo and want to give you a chance." And they're the demons? The ones who want to help people like me because I'm the wrong color? The ones who want to give me a leg up after centuries of persecution that persist to this day? If your child was bullied his entire childhood and the teachers decided to help him out a bit with his homework or help him socialize a bit, and all the kids that spent their entire lives so far bullying the hell out of your child decided to cry "Foul! You can't help him, that's unfair!" What would you tell those bullies? "Oh, you're right, my child doesn't need any help, he just needs to pull himself up by the bootstraps, and your bullying has had no impact on him whatsoever!" Would that really be your response?
They're doing the right thing despite whatever the usual bigots on here would say. They're making a difference based on historical fact. That's more than a Republican ever, or will ever, do for me and my kind.

Look, man, you either have absolute fairness (equality) in the law or you have privileged groups. There is zero middle ground. I'm for equality. Show me legal flaws, I'm happy to help correct them. But not by granting privilege to one group over any others. That is not how you get equality; that is how you get bigger problems than you already have.

Just keep voting Democrat, milking Affirmative Action and other "diversity" initiatives, be the good little token show-pet of your employers' photo shoots, have lots of anchor-babies, and refuse to learn English; and be sure to call anybody who disagrees with you a "racist."

He is, by the way, the only person on the court who is not a native English speaker. He got bullied every time he opened his mouth.
He's also a Catholic. That'll get you bullied by many protestants, being called a papist or even a non-Christian. It'll also get you bullied, obviously, by liberal atheists.

You need to go out more. Or probably visit reddit once every month. Or read any English newspaper that is also read outside of America. Then you will start imagining a world where Trump is cticized for essentially having a bad haircut while Obama being praised for bombing brown people in sovereign countries with impunity and without due process or declaring war.

While your points are solid, they're not relevant to his experiences in the nation he lives in. Myself, I think he's looking at the nation through shit-colored glasses that he's been sold by the DNC but that's another matter entirely as well. This is more of a "how do you solve it" thread.

My point was that our experiences are not a solid metric to measure reality. I am not stopping him/her of changing the world, just pointing out that the world is not as it appears.

Think about this. Every news media outlet in the country would be having a field day for months if the RNC send an email saying don't pass job this description along to black or queer applicants.

Speaking of idiots... while I don't agree that the job listing is good in any way your clueless "what sort of suffering did you endure through all those centuries of persecution?" is the biggest part of the problem. It has required video evidence for society to recognize that oppression of minorities is a standard thing, even out here in super liberal California!
If you don't want affirmative action or other such policies then you need to stand against prejudice everywhere, not only when it impacts YOU.
