Vinay Gupta, one of the main figures behind Ethereum, is having a meltdown. Someone he doesn't like (Gab.ai) was apparently considering using Ethereum for something. Gupta has posted some...interesting tweets. Key quotes:
"[Don't use] Ethereum. We are all communists"
"We will collude against you"
"We do infrastruture. You depend on us. We will find ways. Count on it".
Are these the kinds of things one wants to hear from the people behind a digital currency (and platform) that one is supposed to trust? They will "find ways" to "collude" against anyone they dislike?
Seriously, the more I learn about Ethereum, the less I like it. Full disclosure: I sold what few ETH I owned several months ago, for reasons related to "The DAO" mess.

no we want to hear that making uselss calculation to proof who is richer will ultimately improve the soils pH value to a human livable value that is not acidic and not ... well whatever the word is for the opposite.
there's NOT REASON to get upset about any transistor based and electricity feed phony "etherum".
this is just tantrum by some idiot that wants to build a house, use a car and father more degenerate off spring. obviosuly gens and upbringing have a influence.
if my reply was to a miss quoted artilce, then i am deeply sorry but if not fictional then i stand by it.
enjoy your non infrastructure supported destruction of the bio sphere! i am sure you can find some exceedingly untouched place on the planet unto which you can unleash your superior complaint about nothing!

"Alkaline" or "basic". And making soil more alkaline doesn't require our full attention. We can do other things and some of these are worth doing. I think Ethereum has some practical value, if only as a mistake to warn others.
