NPR Reports: One of the founding members of AC/DC, among the best-selling bands in recorded music history, died Saturday. Guitarist and songwriter Malcolm Young was 64 years old. Young's family, which announced his death in a statement, noted that he had suffered from dementia for several years. The place of his death was not shared, though the statement mentioned that he "passed away peacefully with his family by his bedside."

God I remember those days. I quickly learned 8 track tapes not only sounded like shit, but the way they re-arranged the songs to fit the 4 "sides" of the tape sucked. Remember how they used to fade out for a couple seconds, then fade in for another couple seconds? I bought an 8 track recorder, hooked my turntable to it, and just recorded the damned album. When the track changed it was maybe 1/10 of a second while that silvery "change tracks please" went over the head. My recordings from albums were 200% better than the 8 tracks I could buy. Not to mention, when I went to cassette I could re-record my albums. My 8-tracks? Not so much.
When the dust settled America realized it was saved by a porn star.

Yeah, 8 tracks were soooo bad: my friends family had one in their car.
Listen to half the song, fade out, CLUNk!!!!!!, fade back in. First time I heard that I thought "note to self...never 8 track", lol.
The louder you cranked the tunes, the louder the clunk.
