The social media giant may be guilty of violating of California law regarding discriminating against a political class, and being deceptive to their customer base. Twitter, by discriminating against people on the right, has exposed itself to a potential cascade of legal liability—including a potential class action suit.

Despite being from dangerous.com, this is not an attempted troll. The author gives a quite interesting analysis of Twitter's potential legal issues in censoring political speech in California.

I understand it from the right, but not the left.

Funny how it all seems to be coming from the left lately, ain't it? Did we take a vote and decide to pass the censorious puritan torch from the religious right to the insane left or was it spontaneous?

Just posted a new submission, that will probably be rejected or deep-sixed, thanks to TMB, but it is right on this topic. https://soylentnews.org/submit.pl?op=viewsub&subid=24545 [soylentnews.org] Of course, look quick, it may not be there long, since we could be sued for telling the truth!!!

So, you're saying we should silence those who are using their free speech in a way you view as improperly? You do realize that this is precisely the same as saying you were against free speech all along, yes?

Fuck yes, free speech is dangerous. It's supposed to be. That's the entire point. You're not supposed to be able to only have what you want to hear spoken. It should absolutely make you quake in your booties that people are free to expose your bullshit for the bullshit that it is. Which is what seems to be happening. Which proves the whole thing works as intended.
