The New York Times reports "Trump Ordered Mueller Fired, but Backed Off When White House Counsel Threatened to Quit":

President Trump ordered the firing last June of Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel overseeing the Russia investigation, according to four people told of the matter, but ultimately backed down after the White House counsel threatened to resign rather than carry out the directive.

Let me tell you, I went to Kenosha, Wisconsin. Crooked Hillary held a rally in Kenosha in 2008. But in 2016, she forgot Kenosha. She sent Chelsea -- who isn't bad looking at all -- to Eau Claire and Oshkosh. She sent Corrupt Kaine to Milwaukee, Green Bay and La Crosse. She sent Crazy Bernie -- who won the Wisconsin primary -- to Milwaukee. But she forgot Kenosha. And she lost very badly.

And the great thing they have in Kenosha, they have the Snap-on Tools factory. I went to the factory. Do you use Snap-on tools? Fabulous tools, you can do everything with them. Beautiful tools, the craftsmanship is incredible.

Our factories today are full of computer & robot, it's the age of computer & robot. You know computer, you know robot, there's jobs doing that. If you don't know it, there's not many jobs for you. But our companies are bringing in so many foreign workers, they call it the H-1B visa, I call it the THEFT of American prosperity. I think it should include only the most skilled and highest-paid applicants and should NEVER, EVER be used to replace American workers. I love the workers. We’re doing a good job for the workers. So I signed an executive order, right there in the Snap-on Tools factory in Kenosha. I call it the BUY AMERICAN AND HIRE AMERICAN order. It will protect workers and students like you. It declares that the policy of our government is to aggressively promote and use American-made goods and to ensure that American labor is hired to do the job.

It's a tremendous executive order. Executive Order 13788. It does a lot. It tells our government agencies to ENFORCE the law about foreign workers, to ASSESS how it's being enforced, and to REPORT that to me. And it tells our government agencies to check before they buy cheap foreign goods. To ask, why are they so cheap? A lot of times, it's because of DUMPING. They need to ask, is this very cheap foreign stuff made from dumped steel? We need to protect our American steel companies. We could block the imports, we don't want to do it at this moment. So this is how we're addressing the steel dumping. It's a very unfair situation.

Together, we’re going to do everything in our power to make sure that more products are stamped with those wonderful words: "Made in the USA."  In the old days, we used to use it. We don’t use it so much anymore. We’re going to start using it again -- Made in the USA.

For too long we’ve watched as our factories have been closed and our jobs have been sent to faraway lands. We’ve lost 70,000 factories since China joined the World Trade Organization. And you’ve seen that and you’ve heard about it -- 70,000. The World Trade Organization -- another one of our disasters. But this election, the American people voted to end the theft of American prosperity. They voted to bring back their jobs -- and to bring back their dreams into our country.

I was thrilled to be back in Wisconsin. With my good friend, Governor Scott Walker, he's been such a big help. As well as Senator Ron Johnson. We worked hard together. There was so much optimism in that room! The same incredible spirit that is sweeping across the country, and it's even greater than that great day when I won the state of Wisconsin and won the presidency. We’re doing a good job for the workers.
