First, don't call it "Vine Two". Details are starting to emerge about v2, the forthcoming video app built to replace Vine by its former co-founder Dom..
If I'd written this article, it would have consisted of one word: "Poorly".

I use snapchat occasionally. A picture or short clip is all you need for a lot of things. I have a friend who cooks so i snap her a pic of every meal i cook and she does the same. We don't chat, just send pics of our creations. My wife gets short cat clips when she's away. No need to permanently store that crap anywhere. Don't have a myfaceplace anyways.
I usually try out whatever trendy app there is to see what's going on. Most are really bad. Some are just confusing. Vine looked dumb. V2 looks dumb. I liked the concept of YikYak except legit conversations were impossible because everyone downvoted. Whatsapp is a good chat client (if you can convince others to use it).
Jumping onto a trending thing is fine if you jump in early. Especially if you don't over invest and have plans for the thing's unexpected death. It would be great if your company was able to reach new customers in a space with zero competition. But honestly, vine is dumb. Tying your company's PR to vine is extra dumb. Your company could have the guy make videos and upload them everywhere. When a new platform comes out you can drop all your existing videos on it.
