Yeah, so life has managed to delay our December Update until February. Things happen. The only change to what's in it is that I wrote up a simple plugin to syndicate content to Twitter, which is very much preferable to our current situation since we're pushing stories from a hacky little script on my desktop at the moment and I'd like to be able to boot Windows 7 for some vidya once in a while.

Downtime should be five minutes or less starting around 2:00AM UTC (an hour and forty minutes from now).

And if you have a moment, would you mind updating any updates with an updated update?

Until TMB updates the update, you can read an outdated update here [soylentnews.org].
I hope you'll enjoy it all the same

Thank you for tweeting the link. It's hard to make links, not everyone can do it. I can. Very important, if we didn't have links we wouldn't have an Internet!

I read my Messages, the Message came about moderation. So much terrible moderation, very unfair. And the Message says about the tweet I'm replying to, that it has been moderated Troll (-1). Which, I'm not surprised, I write something nice, I say a nice compliment to somebody, along come our moderators and say, "oh look, it's a tweet from realDonaldTrump, Troll (-1)!" But I look at the tweet, where's the moderation? There's no moderation. Maybe there's moderation now, I get so much of it. Too much. Why is it called moderation, when there's so much of it? But when I start to reply, there's nothing.

If you think you are replying to a tweet here... ummmm... you need more help than I can offer.

Gotta report bugs in English, yo. I can't be arsed to debug both the bug and the report.

Very simple, I look at my Messages, a Message says my tweet "has been moderated Troll (-1)". With the link to tweet #632842. I look, it's not moderated Troll. It's not moderated anything.

Ah, yeah, you got mod-bombed and every moderation in the bombing was reversed. We do that not by deleting the moderation or upmodding the comment but by setting a disable flag on that moderation. So, yes, you were moderated but no, it's not taking effect.

The same thing happened with my tweet #632865. I get the Message, it "has been moderated Troll (-1). It is currently scored Troll (0)." I go to look, it doesn't say Troll, it doesn't say anything.

Another thing. So many down moderations in that Message, it says I got 19 down and 11 up. Not all of them change the Karma -- there was one Overrated and one Underrated -- but you'd think maybe, probably, I lost some Karma there, right? Probably I lost 8 Karma, you'd think, right? I lost a little bit, but it all came back. It totally came back. Like maybe a very crooked administrator did me a favor and canceled some of those down moderations. A lot of people (Dems) will say, "oh, Russia, Russia, Russia." I don't know that it was Russia. It could be Russia. Or it could be someone sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds.

See, dev environments work fine, prod environments break. The difference? Users! Bloody prod users with their prod data and prod meta data. Life would be far easier without the users!

Thank you for the hard work, and especially for the journal rules.
