Oral contraceptives increase the risk of ischemic stroke, but this risk is very small among women who do not have other stroke risk factors, according to a Jan. 3, 2018 paper in the journal MedLink Neurology by Loyola Medicine stroke specialists.

Birth control pills do not increase the risk of hemorrhagic strokes, wrote neurologists Sarkis Morales-Vidal, MD, and José Biller, MD. Ischemic strokes, which account for about 85 percent of all strokes, are caused by blood clots. Hemorrhagic strokes are caused by bleeding in the brain.

Several mechanisms have been proposed to explain why oral contraceptives increase stroke risk, including by raising blood pressure and by making blood hypercoagulable (more likely to clot).

Mary and Joseph only had one kid. What gives you the belief that you're better than the Mother of God and need to have more kids than her? When scriptures talk about going forth and multiplying, they're taking about mathematics. Everyone should become experts at mathematics. It's the language of the universe, which God created, thus it's the language of God.

The rhythm method, done properly, is the most effective form of birth control. Don't talk to me about any abstinence bullshit. Mary got pregnant without having sex before she was married. You should only practice abstinence if you're willing to risk getting impregnated by God* and all that entails for your offspring and the rest of your life. Not worth it if you ask me. Better to have sex than risk that. If you don't have sex as soon as possible you're taking major risks with the direction of your life. It could be taken completely out of your control.

*or if you're willing to risk the person you love getting impregnated by God (for those people who can count to 21 but not 22)

For Catholics, the rhythm method is the best birth control. So many proud Catholic parents do that. But for everybody else, ass sex works great. Very hard for someone to get pregnant that way. But the Catholic Bible says don't do it!

There is no such thing as god, obviously, but most religions encourage their members to reproduce like rats in order to increase that religion's numbers/power/monies. It is that simple.

Just a friendly reminder: please have your humans spayed or neutered!

The life of a parent: spend 20 years telling your children to not have sex or children, no matter what. Then the next 20 years telling them to have sex and children, no matter what.

      Matthew 13:55-56
55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

He had siblings. They just aren't mentioned much. I've attended many a church service and heard many sermons. For the life of me, I can't remember a single one that focused on the fact that he had brothers and sisters.
