Austin bomb suspect blows self up as SWAT team approached

The suspect in a spate of bombings that terrorized residents of Austin, Texas, died after detonating an explosive inside his vehicle as a SWAT team approached to apprehend him on the side of a highway, officials said.

Early Wednesday, authorities tracked the suspect — a 24-year-old white man — to a hotel in Round Rock, a city in the Austin metropolitan area, Austin Police Chief Brian Manley told a news conference early Wednesday.

They tracked his vehicle until it pulled over on Interstate 35 and the suspect "detonated a bomb inside the vehicle, knocking one of our SWAT officers back and one of our officers fired on the vehicle as well," Manley said.

    Come, fellow. If you so earnestly believe I am of retarded birth, stand tall and yell it to the heavens. There is no need for the elipsees. They make it seem like you're whispering under your breath instead of pummeling into the ground! Let me show you:

    While the SWAT had less than 100 brain cells, he was still able to breath automatically. You, on the other hand, I don't need to know anything about. Just by seeing your failure of a quote, I can infer you have 15 brain cells and your handler has 60.

    Hmm… the problem with Arik Mono is that ellipses don't look very good. See that one I just used? It's all scrunched up and compressed since 1en = 1em—even em dashes get scrunched up! Look at that one! You can't tell whether it's an em dash or an en dash or a hyphen or a negative!

    Can we stop the violence against decent, hardworking variable width serif and sans-serif typefaces? Think of the kerning! Think of the children!

          Don't worry I got a small chuckle from the Marley reference. It was a better joke than yours, though comic sans was decent. If you delivered it with a better attitude it would have worked better.

      I don't answer to god. If there was inline CSS available, I'd be doing

      @font-face {
           font-family: "Linotype Abstract";
           src: url("css/fonts/LinotypeOL.wav");
      }

      I'll let you in on a secret: I don't use a single tty for my daily needs. I spawn and kill hundreds of xterms every day. None live long enough to get any sort of cancer that would affect me.

      And for calling me a useless rag, all I have for you is that: you're rude. Cloth has many uses, even if those as lowly as wiping the wet feces off of an obesely bed-ridden Soyim's bottom.

        Well, I can't say I am surprised to find out how ignorant this new persona is. Each xterm instance holds a tty.

          Each xterm process holds a tty the same way Big is Beautiful(TM), only in marketing jargon. Xterm and like allocate ptys while keyboard events talk to the tty sockets, which xterm listens to. TTYs are allocated by the kernel, not Xterm.

            That's an awfully convenient justification for "I don't use ttys". You should try being a politician, just make sure to hide the cocaine (or maybe tell the courts that cocaine is processed by the molecules in your body and not by you).
