From NPR:

Police are responding to an active shooter at the headquarters of YouTube. A hospital has received "several" patients from the incident, a spokesman says.

Local TV news reports show pictures of people evacuating a building with their hands over their heads. Each person was being frisked by a police officer, apparently to make sure that they pose no threat.

Local law enforcement officials have not issued any information.

From Reuters:

Police in San Bruno warned people in a Twitter message to stay away from the address where YouTube, owned by Alphabet Inc's Google, is based.

"We are responding to an active shooter. Please stay away from Cherry Ave & Bay Hill Drive," San Bruno police said on Twitter.

Lisa Kim, a spokeswoman for Stanford Health Care, said the hospital was receiving between four to five patients from the shooting incident at the YouTube offices.

You do realize domestic terrorists are a much greater threat right? How many stories have we had now where the nutters scream "muslim terrrorrrrriiiiiist!!!" and it turns out to be some relatively average US citizen?

Who benefits from someone going postal? Nobody unless it manages to scare people enough to give away some MORE freedoms.

It is amusing to me seeing fools like yourself rail on about "turrists" while negating all actions by the US which would more than apply as terrorism. Hell, the US is too pussy to even label "military actions" by the proper term WAR.

Stay afraid fool, better to live in "protected" fear than be free amirite?

You clearly do not know me, and you presume far too much.

Entirely possible I thought you were much more right wing turristy than you are. Might be the font?

My point stands about people who think everything is terrorism by jihadis because they've been conditioned to hate and fear. If you are not such a person then my apologies.

I was actually, among other things, referring a bit sarcastically to the way that 'terror' has come to be synonymous with 'muslim' when in fact the two words have nothing to do with each other.

If she did this intending it to create terror in order to advance her political agenda, then it was terrorism. If not, then it was not. Her religion has nothing to do with it.

But you'd never know that reading the media accounts.

Perhaps without intent, you advance the deadly agenda of an enemy.

An analogy: You're like HIV, and Muslims are like strep. What might otherwise be survivable will doom us if our defenses are down.

On a per-capita basis, terrorism is overwhelmingly muslim. No other group comes even remotely close. Surveys taken of muslims in western nations show that there is consistently high support for terrorism. Muslims are not unusually industrious, so most are too lazy/poor/unskilled/busy to actually carry it out, but they do generally desire it.

"Perhaps without intent, you advance the deadly agenda of an enemy."

You might want to take those words to heart.

"You're like HIV, and Muslims are like strep."

Seeing your fellow humans as agents of infection is not rational, nor is it healthy.

"What might otherwise be survivable will doom us if our defenses are down."

But there is some truth there. Unfortunately, again, it's truth pointed at you, not myself.

The agenda you are advancing, whether consciously or as a 'useful idiot,' is certainly one that lowers our defenses. You're spreading division, mistrust, and disinformation. You advance the cause of chaos when you do these things, however much you may imagine yourself an agent of order you are not.

"On a per-capita basis, terrorism is overwhelmingly muslim."

Heheheh, looks like such accusations attract the racist trolls anyway huh? I believe the per-capita basis since muslims are such a huge percentage of humanity and they tend to be persecuted like christians back in the day. However, much of that violence is supposedly targeting other muslims so it really isn't as scary as you'd think.

Other countries are probably terrified of americans due to our excessive amount of gun violence, prison population, and tendency to drone small villages, but that doesn't make a good generalization of the average tourist or ex-pat.
